CONNECTION GROUPS
Knowing God’s purpose for creating you will reduce your stress, focus your energy, simplify your decisions, give meaning to your life, and prepare you for eternity with God. It is through our Connection Groups that we provide the opportunity for everyone who attends King’s Way to discover and live out these purposes.
Our Connection Groups are Biblically based
“They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity ─ all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:46-47
How Connection Groups are structured
· Our Connections Pastor has group captains that he communicates with weekly
· Each captain has a few group leaders that they communicate with weekly
· Each leader structures their group with five coaches each representing one of the five purposes we want to accomplish each semester.
· Groups meet weekly during a semester to accomplish the five purposes.
· Every member and attendee voluntarily sign up or are assigned to a group
· Sign-ups occur an entire month before each semester begins (September, January, May)
· Groups have a clear beginning and ending date
· Day of the week, time and location of group meetings are determined by each leadership team
· Curriculum is chosen by each leadership team unless a church-wide campaign is enacted
· Everyone has the option of signing up for the same group or a new group each semester
· No children are allowed to attend adult Connection Groups (Children’s Awana program is on Sundays at 5:30-7pm)
