We've got a place for YOU at King's Way!  The list below is constantly expanding and we need the skills that God has given to YOU to further the work He is building at KWBC.


CONNECT

EXTREME PARKING (Steve Kinard – 704.454.7109) – There is a big need for parking lot greeters for special events.  However, there is a weekly need for a friendly face in our parking lots to help direct guest as well as lend a helpful hand if needed.

 

GREETERS (Sheila Evans – 704.721.5922) – Our greeters are in front of the church and in the lobby on Sunday mornings greeting guests and members with a warm smile, a handshake or hug.  They provide answers to questions, take guest information and give directions to the auditorium or childcare facility.

 

USHERS (Curtis Richardson – 704.509.4845 and Robert Willsey – 704.262.7817) – Each week our ushers perform a variety of “behind the scene” tasks.  They set-up the auditorium on Saturday mornings, distribute bulletins, assist people to their seats, help with the collection of the offering and address the needs of the congregation during the service.

 

LANDSCAPING (Robbie Correll – 704.573.9267) – Keeping the land God has given us beautiful.  Calling all green thumbs!

 

HOSPITALITY (Kim and Jean Lott – 704.305.4111) – Serving up more than just coffee, tea and water our “Coffee Mingle” volunteers are hard at work Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. to help serve up a fellowship opportunity before services.

 

CONNECTION TEAM (David Snow – 704.721.5922) – Assist guest and new members in the assimilation process of our church.

 

GROW

 

Connection Groups (Dan Ragle – 704.721.5922) – Connection Groups is where we have the opportunity to live out the five purposes of our church.

 

SERVE

 

PRAYER TEAM (Rusty Moreland) – Tap into the most powerful tool known to man.  The prayer team is at the point of everything that happens around the church.  The church advances on its knees.

LEVITES (Robert Willsey and David Hicks) – Taking care of God’s house.  A “behind the scenes crew.”  Set-up and clean up, painting, cleaning, fixing and building projects are just a few of the things to be done around our church.

HOPE (Help, Outreach, Prayer, Encouragement) (Jim Irwin – 704.568.5766) – Help extend the love, comfort and compassion of Jesus Christ to those admitted to the hospital or confined to their homes by illness.  This can be done through snack baskets in the waiting room, prayer time for those in the hospital, cards of encouragement to those going through a hard time.

KINGDOM WOMEN (Madell Price – 704.596.2820) – King’s Way women’s ministry is committed to help, encourage and inspire all women to become fully devoted followers of Christ.  This is accomplished through Kingdom Women Events, weekly Bible Studies and an Annual Spring Conference.  There are 6 Ladies’ Bible Studies (updated 2008) that meet at various times during the week and each study a different topic.  The Annual King’s Daughters Conference involves many ministry opportunities to serve.  The biggest outreach event that the Kingdom Women sponsors is the Ladies’ Spring Luncheon, which is held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.  A team of 10-12 ladies plans the events and Bible Studies throughout the year to help meet the spiritual needs of ladies in our church and community.

SCRAPBOOKING (Nichole Taylor – 704.454.5532) – Join in the fellowship two Friday’s a month with other Christian women while preserving your family memories!

RECREATION (Barry Richards – 704.786.1240 and Sydney Schwarz – 704.567.0572) – Join in the fun, fellowship, outreach and exercise through a number of sports teams and leagues provided by KWBC throughout the year.

 

 

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

 

LITTLE KID'S WAY (Angela Harrell – 704.795.4651)

NURSERY – The nursery is where we initially influence the Godly character of the churches future generations.  In the nursery you nurture the little ones by reading stories, singing songs and provide a safe and secure environment for the parents.

PRESCHOOL – The hearts of the children in preschool are fertile ground for the seeds of God’s Word and faith.  Join this ministry and share the love of Christ through Bible stories, games and music.

KID'S WAY (Michael Landrum – 704.785.8829) – This is an opportunity to help graded children learn about Jesus and His love for them.  Teachers and helpers join together to build a foundation of Godly character through Bible stories, games, puppets, music and age-appropriate Bible lessons.

AWANA (Janet Conrad) – A ministry that assists the church in reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Bobby Price – 980.521.9332) – Our junior high ministry offers relevant programs and events that connect students into relationships with Christ and one another.

HIGH SCHOOL (Bobby Price – 980.521.9332) – It’s about impact.  It’s about passion.  It’s about life.  It’s about knowing God.  It’s about time.  Come shape the future.

MISSION 1000 (Bobby Price and Melinda Hill – 704.618.5013) – Facilitating the development of 1,000 Churches around the word by 2014.

 

PROJECT 127 (Bobby Price, Steve Horne, Daniel and Melinda Hill – 704.618.5013) – Project 127 is an organization that King’s Way has partnered with to make a difference in the lives of children all over the world. This organization has 3 main areas of service: Child Sponsorship, Community Projects, and Short-Term Mission Trips. Currently Project 127 is working in Guatemala, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. WORSHIP

 

CREATIVE ARTS (Randy Price – 980.521.9331) – Drama, music, graphic arts, stage productions and a world of other forms of creative expression.  God is the ultimate creator and has gifted people with abilities to sing, play, act, paint, design and produce things in unique ways in order to bring him glory. 

 

Singers: Choirs from Preschool through Adult (we need singers and helpers!) Instrumentalists: Praise Band musicians – must be able to improvise and read chord charts! Drama: We need all sorts of actors, stage hands, prop makers, costume designers, set creaters/builders, special effects creators/operators, etc.  Artists: We are always looking for individuals who have graphic art experience and are willing to utilize their gifts in designing brochures, publications, logos, etc.

 

TECHNOLOGY (Randy Price – 980.521.9331) – Calling all Techies!  Audio, video, computer operators, Power point designers/operators, audio and video operators, lighting operators, installing and/or repairing computers, etc!  Use the brains and hands God has gifted you with!
